Russian designer Jenia Kim constantly travels around the world bringing back home special photo projects featuring pieces from her collections. This time the destination chosen was Tokyo, the place Jane has been always dreaming of visiting, though the designer didn’t come by herself – she let her spring/summer 2017 collection do that for her. The story created by photographer Dima Chyornyy and stylist Irina Dubina is about the clothes traveling on their own and living their own life in a big city. The idea comes from Japanese animation and works of Hayao Miyazaki, as well as from Japanese folktales about ghosts and spirits. The clothes in “Tokyo Path” series come as mystical banshees that crawl around the city and capture a girl, trying to possess her body. Thus, the leading part in the story belongs not to a human being but to the clothes themselves.
